The afternoon will be more unsettled
From midday onwards, cloud cover will increase from the southwest. As the cumulus clouds become denser, the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms will also increase. Vorarlberg, Tyrol, and Upper Carinthia will be particularly affected, with storms expected to persist until the evening. The rest of the country will remain predominantly dry, especially away from the mountainous regions. Despite the approaching thunderstorms, winds will remain light, with gusts possible only in isolated thunderstorm cells.
High temperatures despite thunderstorms
Summer temperatures will continue. According to the forecast, daily highs are expected to range between 25 and 31 degrees. This means that it will remain warm in all parts of the country, even if regional thunderstorms may cause a brief cooling. Saturday will therefore bring both swimming weather and local storms. Those traveling to the west or south should expect short but intense showers.
