Coronavirus continues to spread in Brazil. The Ministry of Health reported 58,428 new infections yesterday. This brings the total number of infections in Brazil to 7,423 million. The number of deaths increased by 762 to 189,982 within 24 hours. Brazil has the most infections and deaths in the world in the coronavirus pandemic after the United States.
Meanwhile, Chile became the first South American country to launch a vaccination program. It is based on the first 10,000 vaccination units provided by Biontech and Pfizer.
