The USA shows that it takes time for a vaccination to have a large-scale effect: within 24 hours, the number of people infected with Corona rose by 213,824 to 18.91 million. According to a Reuters survey based on official data, at least 1618 people died from or with the virus. This brings the total number of deaths to 331,929. The U.S. has the most infections and deaths worldwide in the pandemic.
In Mexico, 4,974 new infections and 189 additional deaths have been reported. This brings the total number of people infected in the country to 1.38 million so far, with 122,026 deaths.
The numbers continue to rise in Brazil as well, with the Brazilian Ministry of Health reporting 17,246 new Corona infections and 307 additional deaths. This means that a total of 190,795 people have died so far in Latin America’s largest country, and 7.5 million have contracted the corona virus.
