From Sunday to Monday, 2,665 new infections were registered in Austria. This number is well below the 7-day average of 4,121 infections. The 7-day incidence drops to 324.06.
This brings the number of active Corona cases down to 61,160. Eighty-six thousand nine hundred ninety-seven new PCR tests were made in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 3.06 percent.
There have been no deaths related to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The last time this occurred was July 4. To date, 19,442 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died nationwide.
The trend in intensive care units is also encouraging. Currently, 63 beds are occupied there. At the start of school a year ago, there were 171.
