Over 41,000 participants are expected to participate in this year’s 41st Vienna City Marathon.
The runners at the Vienna City Marathon will start the race in cool weather on Sunday, April 21, 2024. As the meteorologists from Geosphere Austria forecast on Friday, the temperature is expected to be five degrees at 9.00 am and seven degrees at 11.00 am.
The highest temperature will be ten degrees at 2.00 pm. The clouds will only let the sun through occasionally, but it should remain dry.
Wind
“It can be quite windy on some parts of the route,” the experts warned. The main wind direction in Vienna on Sunday will be north to north-west with an average speed of 10 to 20 kilometres per hour. However, peak winds could reach 30 to 50 km/h.
