Cardinal Christoph Schönborn was bid farewell after almost 30 years as Archbishop of Vienna at a thanksgiving service in St. Stephen’s Cathedral on Saturday. He was honoured by Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen as “Pontifex austriacus”.
