According to a study by the World Health Organization (WHO), the drug Remdesivir from the U.S. company Gilead Sciences has no substantial effect on curing Covid-19 patients. This was reported by the “Financial Times” yesterday. This is the result of a clinical study. The WHO did not want to comment on the report and pointed out that the results of the study were not yet public.
Among others, US President Donald Trump had been treated with Remdesivir after his infection with the corona virus. According to a US study published earlier this month, Remdesivir shortens the recovery of Covid-19 patients by five days compared to patients who did not receive the drug.
