The new ordinance comes into force on Monday and is valid for the time being until February 17.
Curfew: One is allowed to go out during the day between 6 and 20 o’clock. Exceptions: In case of danger to life, limb or property, family obligations, to cover basic needs, for educational purposes, walks or for “unpostponable official appointments,” people are allowed to leave their homes at night.
Private contacts: Now a maximum of two households are allowed to meet again – four adults with a maximum of six children requiring supervision.
FFP2 obligation: Wherever MNS masks previously had to be worn, FFP2 obligation now applies. Minimum distance is two meters.
Retail: All stores open between 6 am and 7 pm. Food and beverages may not be consumed in shopping centers. There must be 20 m2 of space per customer.
Service providers: Open again. It is compulsory to test when one enters hair saloons, pedicure or massage.
Open museums, libraries, libraries, zoos and archives. FFP2 compulsory, 20 m2 per visitor.
Sports: All outdoor sports facilities may be used.
Gastronomy remains closed.
Control: Police and business owners are allowed to control the tests.
Customers need a FFP2 mask at the hairdresser, a Corona test with their own name on it and not older than 48 hours, plus photo ID.
Testing: who issues valid tests? All federal and state test lanes. Laboratory results, medical certificates, test confirmations from pharmacies, and in-house tests (if performed by medical professionals) are also allowed. All tests must be clearly attributable to an individual.
Service: coffee is unfortunately not allowed.
Staff: Must test at least once a week.
A new entry regulation tightens the rules for Austria’s borders.
In the future, commuters will have to register when crossing the border (like all entrants). They also need an antigen or PCR test no more than a week old. Self-tests do not apply. Registration is mandatory from February 10, possible from February 7.
