The weather presents its friendly side in Austria this weekend. But the forecasts for the next week are unstable.
Austria will remain in the sphere of influence of a high-pressure wedge separating two distinct low-pressure systems over southwestern and northeastern Europe over the weekend. Except for a few showers in the mountains on Sunday, this sets up extremely calm and mostly sunny spring weather.
Saturday will offer spring-like weather conditions, with widespread sunshine from early morning. With generally decreasing wind, temperatures will rise to between 14 and 23 degrees.
On Sunday, the calm, spring-like weather will continue. Mostly sunshine prevails, even if the sky is not completely unclouded with a few harmless clouds. With 12 to 22 degrees it will remain mild, especially in the south.
On Monday, it will rain again and again from East Tyrol to Southern Burgenland, also on the main ridge of the Alps and in the eastern mountain region, individual showers will form during the day. On the northern side of the Alps, on the other hand, it will remain mostly dry and often sunny, especially from Lake Constance to Upper Austria. Here, a moderate northeast wind will blow, otherwise the wind will not play a major role. Highs will range between 7 and 17 degrees, with significant cooling, especially in the east and southeast.
Tuesday will continue to show its dry and often sunny side north of the Alps. In the mountains and in the south it remains unsettled with rain showers, especially in East Tyrol and Carinthia the cloudy impression dominates. With weak to moderate, in the Danube region also brisk wind from eastern directions, the temperatures reach 8 to 17 degrees, depending on the sun.
