The manufacturers made the announcement Tuesday (Sept. 28). This brings the introduction of the Corona vaccine for school-age children one step closer. The companies expect to submit a formal application for emergency approval in the coming weeks. Submissions to authorities in Europe and elsewhere are also planned, they said.
Meanwhile, Denmark is expected to offer additional booster vaccination to certain groups. These include people older than 65, people with chronic diseases and anyone who was initially vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson. The booster vaccination will be given with vaccines from either Pfizer/Biontech or Moderna, depending on the decision of the regulatory agency, according to Danish health officials (9/28).
