A draft Health Ministry regulation calls for the 3G rule to apply to all workers, owners and operators of stores who might encounter colleagues or customers at work, starting Oct. 15: They must be vaccinated, recovered or test negative for Corona. Workers would have to have the proof with them at the workplace at all times, according to the draft, which was made available to “ZiB 2.”
3G obligation for all employees with contact to customers or colleagues
In the case of direct customer contact – with exceptions such as the catering trade or sports facilities – masks would also be compulsory if the risk of infection is not minimized by other protective measures, “ZiB 2” quoted from the draft.
This would mean a significant tightening: Currently, the 3G requirement only applies to staff in a few areas, such as hospitals or health spas. Those who do not comply with the 3G rule could be sent home by their employer without pay. Dismissals would also be possible, the report says. However, nothing is fixed yet, negotiations are still going on, “ZiB 2” refers to the Ministry of Health. For the evening a conference of Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens) with the health regional councils had been planned.
Also new Corona rules for skiing areas intended
The draft also provides for new rules for ski resorts as of November 1, namely a 3G obligation for access to cable and rack railroads.
