After the onset of winter in the mountains, mild autumn weather now prevails.
Calm autumn weather with lots of sun and some fog is in store. As the current forecasts show, temperatures are rising from day to day. On Tuesday and Wednesday we can even look forward to a dreamlike 24 degrees.
The forecast in detail
Saturday will offer a lot of sunshine. To the west it will be mostly bright sunny, only from Salzburg to Lower Austria some denser clouds will pass through at first, especially in the mountains there will also be local light showers. The snow line will be around 1600m above sea level. The wind blows throughout weak from northwest to northeast. Early temperatures minus 2 to plus 8 degrees, daily highs 11 to 16 degrees.
Under the influence of high pressure, the weather will be calm and sunny throughout Austria on Sunday. Morning fog will mostly dissipate in the morning, and during the day only thin, high clouds will adorn the sky. In addition, there will be only light winds. Temperatures will rise from minus 3 to plus 4 degrees in the morning to 12 to 17 degrees during the day.
Up to 24 degrees
High pressure influence over Central Europe will continue to ensure calm and largely sunny autumn weather in the Eastern Alps on Monday. Early morning fog in the lowlands will dissipate in the morning. In the morning, widespread cloud fields will pass through at times. The wind will be light, at higher altitudes in Lower Austria partly moderate from southeast to west. Early temperatures 0 to 7 degrees, daytime highs 13 to 19 degrees.
On Tuesday and Wednesday it will be a bit warmer. The maximum temperatures are 22 degrees, locally even 24 GRad are possible. It will be warmest in some Föhn valleys in the west of Austria.
