On October 31, it’s Halloween again. If you want to organize a party or are a guest yourself, you should follow these rules.
Basically, it can be stated: the corona precautions at parties depend on the number of guests and start with a number of 25 people or more.
Concrete rules:
For parties with more than 25 people, the decisive factor is where the party takes place. A distinction is made here between residential (apartment, house) and non-residential (garage, garden, basement). If the party takes place in a garage, in the garden or in the party cellar, i.e. in a place that is not mainly inhabited, every guest with 25 or more guests must present a 3G certificate (2.5 G in Vienna). If the party is held in a traditional living room, this regulation does not apply for parties with up to 100 guests.
Parties with 100 or more guests must be registered with the respective district authorities. For this purpose, a corona officer must be appointed to check whether masks are being worn in a confined space. The 3G rule also applies here (Vienna is an exception again). In addition, a list of all guests must also be kept in order to be able to react accordingly in terms of contact tracing if necessary.
For parties of 500 or more people, the same applies as for parties of 100 or more people. In addition, the party must be approved in advance as an event by the district authorities. (In Vienna, the 2G rule applies).
Violations can result in administrative penalties for the guest and the host.
