In view of the worsening pandemic situation, Austria is tightening its entry regulations. As of Monday, a 2.5 G certificate is required for entry into the country.
Antigen and antibody tests are no longer valid – except for commuters. For commuters (work, school, study, family purposes, life partner) the 3-G rule applies. This is according to the entry regulation, which was amended yesterday.
For commuters, the previous privileged duration of PCR tests will be reduced from seven days to 72 hours. Antigen tests will only be valid for 24 hours instead of 48. The “Ninja Pass” for schoolchildren will be an exception for entry.
As is also the case throughout Austria, the validity period of the vaccination certificate will be shortened from one year to nine months. There is a transition period until December 6 for this adjustment to the third Covid 19 measures regulation.
