7,000 students in Covid quarantine

The number of new Covid infections continues to rise, and with it the number of those who need to be quarantined.

At home schools, Corona continues to spread. On Monday alone, 1,210 students tested positive for Corona. They now have to be quarantined, just like their classmates.

At the country one lost however at present the overview, how many classes are now really not at the school. On Wednesday, however, one knew at least how many pupils and students are currently in quarantine. “Currently, we cannot communicate any numbers about classes in quarantine yet. The Education Directorate is currently working through the reported segregations and asks for your understanding,” the crisis team said.

“Currently, 6,944 pupils and students, 81 teachers and school staff are in quarantine in Upper Austria,” the crisis management team lets the state know. Currently, 27 teachers and school staff throughout Upper Austria have also tested positive for the coronavirus.

A total of 30,394 are currently tested positive for the virus in Upper Austria. The 7-day incidence is currently 1,557, compared to 162.7 for the third lockdown on December 26 and 699.2 for the second on November 17.
