Today, the fourth lockdown, which comes into force tomorrow, will be passed in parliament. An overview of the key points according to the ordinance.
Due to the dramatic Corona situation, a lockdown will apply throughout Austria from tomorrow and until December 12. The new rules at a glance.
▶ Compulsory vaccination and green passport: From February 2022, a Corona vaccination obligation is to apply in Austria. Violations of this will be subject to administrative penalties. There are no details yet. The Green Passport will lose its validity from February for access to 2-G areas if the second sting was more than seven months ago.
▶Exit restrictions: One may only leave one’s own living area, for example, to go to work, for recreation in the fresh air, or to purchase goods for daily use. Contact away from one’s own household is only permitted with close relatives or important persons of reference. The 2-meter distance applies between persons.
▶Trade and Gastro: Trade away from the basic suppliers must close. Barriers must be body-related service providers, cultural and recreational facilities, as well as hotels and restaurants. Pick up and deliver food remains allowed.
▶Compulsory masks: FFP2 masks must be worn in all enclosed indoor areas outside the private sphere, just as in public transport. This also applies to the workplace, where the 3-G rule applies.
▶Hospitals and nursing homes: Visits to hospitals and nursing homes require 2-G detection and a negative PCR test. In nursing homes, visits are allowed with a maximum of two persons per resident per day. In hospitals, one visitor per patient per week is allowed.
