Even more than 15 years after the presentation of the first iPhone in January 2007, Apple is still considered the pacesetter of an entire industry. That’s why many pairs of eyes will again look to Cupertino on Wednesday when the IT giant unveils new iPhones starting at 7 pm.
According to reports, missing from the new lineup will be an iPhone Mini. It is to be replaced by a larger model with a 6.7-inch screen. Customers can choose four iPhone 14 models and two iPhone sizes (6.1 and 6.7 inches). Visually, Apple is focusing on a redesign of the “notch.” That is, the pill-like section of the front screen behind which the front camera is hidden, among other things. In the future, there could be two separate notches – which, curiously enough, will be turned into one continuous surface in some models via software. In any case, Apple is said to have significantly revamped the corresponding camera app.
In general, many “leaks,” i.e., information circulated in advance, revolve around the iPhone camera system this year. The primary camera is supposed to get a 48-megapixel sensor (the iPhone 13 still has 12 megapixels), and the weakening ultra-wide-angle camera will be upgraded significantly.
