Wednesday will start with a few patches of fog and high fog patches in the valleys and over the lowlands. During the day, however, these will mostly clear quickly, and warm and partly sunny weather will prevail in many regions. However, a screen of high, thin cloud fields will cloud the sunlight again and again, and spring clouds will spread in the afternoon. Especially over the mountains, the tendency for showers and thunderstorms will increase significantly. At the beginning of the day, temperatures will range from nine to 16 degrees Celsius; later, 23 to 28 degrees Celsius are expected.
A cold front from the west on Thursday
On Thursday, a cold front will move in from the west, embedded in a southwesterly high-altitude current. Thus, the disturbing influence of dense clouds and rain will increase rapidly from the west and southwest. The morning will be friendly and partly sunny only in the very east and in the southeast. In the afternoon, however, the tendency for showers will increase significantly, and thunderstorms are also possible. It is most likely to remain dry in the extreme southeast. Early temperatures will range from ten to 17 degrees, daily highs from 20 to 28 degrees, with the highest values in the southeast.
Friendly and partly sunny weather on Friday
After residual clouds, Friday morning, largely pleasant and occasionally sunny weather will set in with a westerly flow. In the afternoon, however, numerous spring clouds will form again; especially in the mountains, the tendency for showers will increase significantly. On the southern side of the Alps, thunderstorms are also possible. Early temperatures are forecast by the ZAMG again from ten to 17 degrees, the maximum temperatures from 20 to 26 degrees.
