Austria can look forward to temperatures around 24 degrees this weekend – but this will end on Monday at the latest—the weather forecast.
Today, Saturday, it will be sunny and dry; residual clouds and local patches of early morning fog in the south will soon dissipate. During the day, compact clouds will gradually move into the west, increasing the risk of showers in the afternoon in Vorarlberg and the Tyrolean Außerfern. Otherwise, there will be plenty of sunshine. The wind will often blow moderately from south to east, and temperatures will rise, with highs between 17 and 24 degrees expected.
Sunday will start in the south and east, still friendly, from Vorarlberg to Lower Austria; however, many clouds will gather, and some rain will already fall in the west. As the day progresses, the rain will spread to the east, with showers and isolated thunderstorms forming, while in the west, it will clear up again. Until the evening, it will remain dry in the far east. With light, moderate winds from the south in the east, highs will range between 13 degrees in the west and 21 degrees in Burgenland.
From today’s perspective, the rain will still be frequent on Monday. Also, it will remain unstable during the day with dense clouds and widespread showers. With long, dry spells, it will loosen up in the western half of the day. The wind will shift from west to northwest and blow moderately to briskly from Lake Constance to the Danube region. Temperatures will again drop somewhat, with highs between 9 and 16 degrees.
Tuesday will also be mostly cloudy and unsettled. Some sunshine in between is most likely in the south and east. Otherwise, the clouds will predominate and, after a frequently still dry start, bring more showers or showery rain from the west in the day; it will probably remain dry only in the eastern lowlands. With moderate, in the east brisk northwesterly winds, a maximum of 8 to 17 degrees will be reached from west to southeast.
