Linz, Austria – July 29, 2024 – In a significant milestone for international healthcare collaboration, 25 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) arrived in Vienna on July 23, ready to begin their professional journey in Wels, Austria. Welcomed warmly by their employer, an esteemed hospital in Upper Austria, these nurses bring dedication and expertise, poised to make substantial contributions to the Austrian healthcare system and society.
Before their deployment, the nurses underwent rigorous preparation, including an 8-month intensive German language course in the Philippines, culminating in a German language examination. This meticulous preparation ensures they can integrate seamlessly into their new roles and effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
These nurses’ successful recruitment and deployment were made possible through the support and guidance of two renowned recruitment agencies: EDI Staffbuilders International (EDI) and C&C Human Resource Development GmbH (C&C). Both agencies have a decade-long history of recruiting skilled healthcare professionals for Germany and Austria, establishing a strong track record of excellence and reliability.

In addition, C&C is currently organizing a Pre-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) with the Philippine Embassy in Vienna, ensuring that the arriving nurses are well-prepared for their new roles and lives in Austria.
