The 2024 vignette is valid until 31 January 2025, whether as a sticker or digitally. The new sea-green vignette is valid immediately after purchase. There are a few important things to note with digital vignettes.
Different validity date
Anyone who wants to order the new digital vignette online and use it from 1 February must do so by Tuesday, 14 January. The ordered vignette is only valid from the 18th day after the online purchase. The reason for this is the consumer protection period, which applies to all customers making online purchases based on a law.
There is a way out
“Our customers now have a very large selection of offers for vignette products. This makes it easy to take advantage of all digital vignettes’ benefits. It is and remains important to obtain a valid vignette in good time, regardless of whether you click or pick. That is why we would like to point out the deadline of January 14,” says ASFINAG Managing Director Claudia Eder.
There is also a solution for those who want to use their digital vignette immediately. ASFINAG also offers the option of buying a digital vignette at its own vending machines, at selected sales outlets, at the six ASFINAG toll stations, at tobacconists and petrol stations, as well as from its partners ÖAMTC, ARBÖ, and ADAC. These are even valid immediately and do not require any waiting.
