Anne Grete Rasmussen, also known as “Fru Grønn”, has 25 years of experience in the cleaning industry and is now urging people to rethink their washing habits.
According to Fru Grønn, you don’t need to wash your bed linen as often as many people think:
“It’s actually fine to wait until the third or fourth week before you put your bedding in the machine,” she says, pointing out that this applies to healthy people. However, if you are ill, have asthma or something similar, the situation may be completely different.

Towels at 60 degrees?
Fru Grønn also recommends individually assessing your towel washing needs and washing them at lower temperatures if necessary.
In her opinion, towels do not always have to be washed at 60 degrees:
“I would say that it’s not always necessary to wash towels at 60 degrees – and I say that even though I sometimes do it myself,” she explains.

Using the sense of smell
Fru Grønn’s philosophy is also based on using your nose to decide whether clothing should go in the washing machine.
The expert says that by choosing environmentally friendly detergents and using them efficiently, you can avoid the need for strong chemicals to remove stains.
