Vienna, Austria – May 28, 2025 — From June 12 to August 31, the Wien Museum Community Gallery will host “Kumain Ka Na?”, an exhibition by artist and curator Chelsea Amada that traces the journey of Filipino nurses in Austria. The exhibition examines the migration experiences of the first-generation nurses—their struggles, triumphs, and the cultural bridge they built. It also reflects on the identity formation and cultural imprint of succeeding generations.

The public is invited to the opening event on June 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., featuring Filipino food, fashion, and art. The formal opening begins at 18:30.

Through photographs, personal stories, and multimedia installations, Kumain Ka Na? presents a powerful tribute to a community that has helped shape Austria’s healthcare system while preserving its vibrant heritage. It’s not just a history lesson—it’s a conversation about migration, belonging, and cultural legacy.
