Vienna, Austria – June 5, 2025 – The vibrant Filipino community in Vienna will come together on June 7, 2025, to celebrate the Philippine Independence Day in a grand event at the Marriott Hotel, Vienna. Organized by the Council of Filipino Associations in Austria (CFAA) in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy in Austria, the festivities will showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines through music, dance, and tradition.
The celebration will feature diverse cultural presentations representing the three main island groups of the Philippines—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—through colorful and dynamic performances. A highlight of the evening will be the traditional Rigodon de Honor, a formal ballroom dance participated in by various Filipino organizations under the CFAA.
Mr. Elmer Blanco, Chairman of CFAA, will deliver an Independence Day message, emphasizing unity and pride among overseas Filipinos. The event’s guest of honor, Ambassador Evangelina Lourdes Arroyo-Bernas, is expected to address the community, reaffirming the strong ties between the Philippines and Austria.
The celebration not only commemorates the 127th anniversary of Philippine independence but also serves as an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie among Filipinos in Austria. Attendees can look forward to an evening of cultural performances and a shared sense of national pride.
For more details, the public may contact the CFAA or the Philippine Embassy in Vienna.
