Vienna, Austria – June 13, 2025 — A new name is making waves in Vienna’s youth football scene: Luis El Alaka Zeumer, a standout player on the prestigious SK Rapid Wien Under-9 team, is turning heads with his talent, speed, and dedication to the sport.

Luis, just 8 years old, is already being hailed as one of the top players in his age group. His passion for the game and remarkable skill on the pitch were recently on full display when SK Rapid U9 won their latest tournament in Essling, located in Vienna’s 22nd district.

Proud grandmother Heide Zeumer, a Filipina nurse who once worked at the Kaiser Franz Joseph Hospital—now known as Klinik Favoriten—shared her excitement over Luis’s achievements. “He lives and breathes football. Watching him grow with the team has been an absolute joy,” she said.

The young talent’s development was further boosted when trainers from FC Barcelona’s renowned youth academy visited Vienna last year. They conducted a week-long intensive training camp for selected young Austrian players, and Luis was among those chosen to participate. “It was a dream come true for him,” said Heide. “Being trained by Barca coaches was a huge inspiration.”

Luis follows in the footsteps of top Austrian footballers like David Alaba, and fellow SK Rapid player Daniel Mahinay, a rising star who currently plays for Austria’s National U18 Team. Much like Mahinay, Luis combines technical skill with determination, showing early signs of a promising future in Austrian—and possibly international—football.

As the football community continues to watch Luis El Alaka Zeumer’s journey, many believe this young player could be one of the future stars of Austrian football. With strong support from his family, a prestigious club backing his development, and influences from international coaching, the path ahead looks bright for this young Filipino-Austrian athlete.
