Vienna, July 16, 2025 – The Filipino choir group VOCALISMO left an indelible mark on Vienna last night with a stirring performance at the Filipino Catholic Chaplaincy Church (1100 Vienna), winning over an enthusiastic audience on July 15.

The choral group opened with beloved original Filipino compositions, delivering heartfelt renditions that resonated deeply with expatriates and music lovers alike, including those from Vienna. They were met with warm applause, celebrating Filipino heritage in the Austrian capital.

VOCALISMO then shifted gears, surprising the crowd with international hits. Their version of “I Believe I Can Fly” soared, while the jubilant “O Happy Day” had attendees on their feet. The juxtaposition of Filipino classics and global pop showcased the choir’s versatility and charisma.

Earlier that day, VOCALISMO had showcased their talents at a reception at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna. They performed several selections from their repertoire for delegates from around the world—an elegant prelude to their evening concert, reinforcing their international cultural mission.

Following their Vienna debut, VOCALISMO heads to Burgenland on Friday, July 18, at 5:00 p.m. The free concert will be staged in the Kirche Pfarre St. Katharina, Podersdorf am See.

The choir’s weekend itinerary continues in the city center: on Saturday, July 19, at 19:00, VOCALISMO will sing for Mass at the iconic Stephansdom, followed by a short concert inside the cathedral. To round out the tour, they perform a final sacred concert on Sunday, July 20, at 11:30 at Salvator am Wienerfeld.

From OFCs to gospel, pop, and liturgical music, VOCALISMO’s Vienna appearances forged a powerful cross‑cultural connection, leaving a lasting impression just before they carried their talent onward through Austria.
