This week, a cold front in Austria will bring changeable weather and moderate temperatures that are not too high. There will be frequent heavy rain showers.
Up to 31 degrees on Wednesday
The morning will still be quite sunny in the middle of the week. Only a few harmless clouds will pass through at times. On Wednesday afternoon, however, the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms is expected to increase in the west and southwest, as well as in the mountainous regions further east. The wind will be light to moderate. In the morning, temperatures between 10 and 18 degrees can be expected, while during the day, temperatures will range between 23 and 31 degrees. It will be warmest in the southeast.
On Thursday, a disturbance zone will be in place across the country, bringing widespread and occasionally heavy rain showers. The eastern half of Austria can also expect thunderstorms. There will only be sunny spells in between. The wind will be light to moderate but may increase somewhat near showers and thunderstorms. Early temperatures are forecast to range from 12 to 18 degrees, with daytime highs between 20 and 27 degrees, depending on the amount of sunshine.
Lots of clouds and rain showers on Friday
The workweek will end on Friday with lots of clouds and rain showers in the west. In the rest of the country, there will be a mix of sun and clouds, with the sunniest periods in the far east. There, the morning will remain predominantly dry before the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms increases significantly everywhere in the afternoon. The wind will again be light to moderate. In the morning, the thermometer will climb to 12 to 18 degrees, and during the day to 18 to 28 degrees.
