August 19, 2025 – Ramingstein to Judenburg – Our stay at Gasthaus Durigon was comfortable, and after a solid night’s rest, we woke up refreshed and ready for the road ahead. A sumptuous breakfast of bread, cheese, eggs, and coffee gave us the fuel we needed for the second leg of our tour: Ramingstein to Judenburg, a distance of about 86 kilometers.
By 9:15 a.m., we were back on our bikes, spirits high as we followed the Murradweg. The terrain was slightly sloping, which kept our legs busy but also offered sweeping views of the Mur Valley. We paused often, not because we were tired, but because the scenery was too beautiful to simply pass by. Every bend seemed to reveal another postcard view—green hills, wooden farmhouses, and the river glistening beside us. Our smartphones quickly filled with photos.
By late morning, we reached Murau, a larger town in Styria with a lively charm. We had hoped to visit the Murauer Brewery, but it wouldn’t open until the afternoon, so we contented ourselves with a short stroll and a few snapshots before moving on.
The rolling terrain, however, reminded us that even e-bikes have their limits. With each climb, we watched our batteries drop lower. By the time we arrived in Teufenbach, the next village, we knew it was time for a recharge—both for our bikes and ourselves. Luckily, we found a charging station near a cozy local restaurant. While the bikes regained their energy, we enjoyed a hearty lunch, resting our legs and soaking in the relaxed village atmosphere.

About an hour later, fully recharged, we continued onward, passing through Scheifling, a small village nestled in the valley. The afternoon ride was steady, with the rhythm of our pedals carrying us closer to our destination.
By 4:30 p.m., Judenburg appeared on the horizon. We rolled into town with a mix of relief and satisfaction, heading straight to our hotel. After checking in, we allowed ourselves to unwind, knowing tomorrow’s route to Bruck an der Mur would demand fresh strength. For now, it was enough to celebrate the progress of Day Two.
