August 28, 2025 – The European Network of Filipino Diaspora (ENFiD), together with ENFiD-Austria, proudly launched the book “RECIPES for Keeps” at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria. The event brought together Filipinos from across Europe in a day filled with gratitude, joy, and a deep sense of pride in shared heritage.
The book, a vibrant collection of over 120 recipes, is more than just a cookbook. “It’s a heartwarming compilation of stories and recipes. A tribute to our shared culinary heritage and creativity,” said ENFiD-Austria Chairwoman Marizel Rojas.

Editor and publisher Minnie Cruz Langer highlighted the deeper meaning behind the project: “It’s about keeping. Keeping flavors alive, keeping family close, keeping the stories, the laughter, and the love that food always seems to carry with it.”
Proceeds from “RECIPES for Keeps” will support two charitable organizations: Preda Foundation, Inc., which fights for children’s rights and dignity in the Philippines, and Good Samaritan Helping Hands, dedicated to aiding communities in need.
Earlier, ENFiD conducted a round table discussion on “Diaspora Voices for a Sustainable Future.”The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Anna Muner-Bretter, Head of Department IV/4, Environment, Climate Change, Transport, and 2030 Agenda at the Austrian Federal Chancellery. Delegates from ENFiD member countries across Europe took part in the lively exchange of ideas.
The event marked not only the celebration of Filipino culinary traditions but also the power of diaspora voices in building sustainable futures. “RECIPES for Keeps” stands as a cultural keepsake and a heartfelt contribution to meaningful causes.
