How long after eating should you wait before drinking coffee?
After eating, you should wait about 30 minutes to 1 hour before drinking coffee. This gives the body enough time to digest the food and absorb the nutrients. If coffee is drunk too soon after eating, it does not necessarily aid digestion but can actually interfere with it and lead to unpleasant symptoms such as heartburn.
