Vienna, Austria — September 30, 2025 – The Association of Pangasinenses in Austria has begun preparations for the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Manaoag with a nine-day novena that started on September 26, 2025. The novena prayers and masses are being held daily at the Filipino Catholic Chaplaincy in Wienerfeld, 1010 Vienna, drawing a steady stream of devotees.
The novena will conclude on Sunday, October 5, 2025, which marks the main day of the feast. Organizers say the devotion has already attracted Filipinos not only from Vienna but also from nearby regions, reflecting the deep faith and cultural ties that the community continues to nurture abroad.
For many Pangasinenses, the devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag is more than tradition—it is a spiritual lifeline that connects them to home. The image of Our Lady, long venerated in Pangasinan as a source of hope and miracles, is central to the community’s identity. In Austria, the novena provides both a moment of prayer and a space for fellowship among overseas Filipinos.
The Association of Pangasinenses has extended its invitation to all devotees and friends to join the culminating celebration on Sunday, October 5. The day will begin with a solemn mass honoring Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Manaoag, followed by community activities and agape prepared by members of the association.
Organizers emphasize that the feast is not only a religious event but also a celebration of unity, heritage, and the enduring faith of Filipinos living far from their homeland.
