The Tangente, Vienna’s most considerable parking lot, is once again in need of renovation work and will therefore be closed from Friday (October 10) at 10:00 p.m. until Monday (October 13) at 5:00 a.m. More specifically, the Kaisermühlen junction ramp heading south will be closed entirely.
Only one lane heading south will remain open at night, while during the day, there will be two lanes heading towards Inzersdorf. There will be three lanes heading north. The reason for this is construction work between the Kaisermühlen junction and the Prater.
Vösendorf junction is also partially closed
The ARBÖ expects miles of traffic jams and delays of over an hour. Drivers are advised to take a wide detour, including via Wagramer Straße, Reichsbrücke, Lassallestraße, Floridsdorfer Hauptstraße, Floridsdorfer Brücke, Adalbert-Stifter-Straße, and Handelskai. The Nordbrücke, or the Gürtel, is also a possible option.
The A2 and S1 motorways outside Vienna will also be partially closed this weekend. These closures should also be taken into account when planning your journey.
