The weather in Austria will be predominantly calm this coming week. However, sunny autumn weather will only occur intermittently, and rain is also expected, especially at the beginning of the week.
Temperatures will climb to up to 18 degrees Celsius and remain stable throughout, as shown by the forecast from Geosphere Austria on Sunday.

However, according to experts, delightful and sunny weather will prevail in the west and south. However, fog or high fog may become quite persistent during the course of the day. The wind will be light. Temperatures will range between freezing and 12 degrees in the morning and between 12 and 18 degrees during the day.
With a northern high-altitude flow, low, high fog-like cloud fields or high fog will persist along the north side of the Alps and in the south on Tuesday. These will only ease somewhat during the course of the day, with a mix of sun and cumulus clouds in the mountains. The chance of showers will increase slightly in the afternoon. Further east, the sun will shine at times, but a few extensive cloud fields will also move across the sky from the northeast during the day. The wind will continue to blow weakly from the west to the north. Temperatures will range between two and nine degrees in the morning and between ten and 16 degrees thereafter.
Local rain showers possible over the mountains
Towards the middle of the week, air pressure will rise again slightly from the west. However, in the far east of Austria, the northward flow will continue to determine the weather, which is why some cloud fields will still pass through, and sunny spells will only become more frequent as the day progresses. According to the Geosphere forecast, local rain showers cannot be ruled out over the mountains. Elsewhere, sunny weather will prevail. The wind will remain weak. Early temperatures will range from zero to seven degrees, with highs of eleven to seventeen degrees during the day.
On Thursday, the day will start with widespread fog and high fog in the lowlands, valleys, and basins. However, these will gradually clear up during the day, giving way to quite sunny autumn weather. In the east and generally over the mountains, harmless cumulus clouds may reappear in the afternoon. The wind will be light. In the morning, temperatures will range from minus two to plus six degrees, with highs later reaching eleven to sixteen degrees.
The workweek will end on Friday with fog and high fog in many places. Low-lying clouds along the northern side of the Alps are also expected to be noticeable. During the day, however, it will be mostly sunny with only a few harmless cumulus clouds. Only in the northern regions will more cloud fields pass through during the day. The wind will be light. Early temperatures are expected to range from minus two to plus six degrees, with daytime highs of twelve to 16 degrees.
