Vienna, Austria — October 2025 – More than a dozen Filipinos joined the culmination activity of the Month of the Holy Rosary at the Parish of the Heart of Jesus in Vienna’s 21st District, adding their voices to a solemn celebration that carried an international tone and a powerful message of peace.
The event, held on Sunday evening, brought together parishioners in prayer and song. Reflecting the diverse community spirit of the parish, one of the Rosary stations was prayed in English, while several hymns were also sung in the same language, giving the devotion a distinctive international flair.
With the theme “Peace,” the Rosary devotion centered on unity and compassion amid global challenges. Participants prayed for peace in families, communities, and nations—an appeal that resonated deeply among attendees.
Members of the Filipino community, active in parish life across Vienna, played a visible role during the event. Some led prayers, while others contributed through music and participation in the candlelit procession that closed the evening.
The Month of the Holy Rosary, observed throughout October, is a longstanding Catholic tradition dedicated to deepening devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Parish of the Heart of Jesus marked its conclusion with reflection, song, and the shared hope for lasting peace in the world.
