Vienna – As Austria continues to face a growing need for skilled nursing and care professionals, Fonds Soziales Wien (FSW) is strengthening its support for people interested in entering or advancing within the care sector. The Educational Counseling Center for Nursing and Care Professions now offers a significantly expanded range of advisory services, covering all major training pathways in Vienna.
Comprehensive Guidance on Nursing and Social Care Training
The counseling center provides detailed information on all training programs offered at the FSW Bildungszentrum, including:
- Nursing Assistant and Qualified Nursing Assistant training
- “Nursing with Matura” program
- School of Social Professions with nursing preparation
- “Pflegestarter:innen” (entry program from age 15)
- Social care professions
- Home help training and everyday assistance
In addition, advisors support individuals exploring the Voluntary Social Year, the College for Caring Relatives, the UBV module, and the nostrification (recognition) of foreign nursing qualifications. Guidance on funding and financial support options is also available.
