From Monday to Tuesday, 1,240 new infections were reported in Austria. The seven-day incidence per 100,000 population was thus 150.1.
The number of new infections is currently declining. This number is also more than double the average of the past seven days with, statistically, 9.9 deaths per day.
To date, there have been 726,674 positive test results in Austria. As of today (September 21, 2021, 10:30 a.m.), 10,918 people across Austria have died as a result of coronavirus and 693,600 have recovered.

In total, 5,669,958 have already received at least a partial vaccination – 63.5 percent of the population – according to E-vaccination data. 5,355,022 people, or 59.9 percent of Austrians, are fully immunized.
