Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, one million people have already fled the attacked country. This was announced by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, in the night.
“In just seven days, we have witnessed the exodus of one million refugees from Ukraine to neighboring countries,” Grandi wrote.
He added: “For many more millions in Ukraine, it is time for the guns to fall silent so that life-saving humanitarian aid can be delivered.”
