Spring is showing its best side: After a rainy start to the week, we can expect a significant improvement in the weather. But what exactly does this mean for the coming days? We take a detailed look at the forecasts and how they will affect nature and our leisure activities.
Weather improvement in advance
After the rain comes the sun. The rainy start to the week makes way for a promising change in the weather. After continuous rain in the east of the country, it will only stay wet for longer in the far west, towards the middle of the week. We can look forward to more frequent sunny spells, especially in the south.
Low-pressure system ELFI moves away
On Thursday, the low-pressure system ELFI will finally bid farewell and make way for more spring-like conditions across the country. Even if denser patches of cloud adorn the sky at times, highs of 13 to 18 degrees and hardly any wind promise a pleasant weather experience.
Spring in the mountains
The Alps offer ideal conditions for all spring skiers, with a zero-degree limit of 1500 to 2000 meters.
Changeable weekend
The weekend will bring new weak weather fronts over Austria. Windy, showery weather is to be expected, especially on Saturday. On Friday and Sunday, on the other hand, the sun will appear more often between the clouds, while rain will fall only sporadically, and temperatures will hardly change.
Mild March days are in prospect
The weather will remain slightly changeable but mild in the coming week. Longer sunny spells will alternate with dense clouds and some rain.
Sunny midweek
Towards the middle of the week, the air pressure is expected to rise temporarily, promising sunny weather across the country for one or two days. Night frosts should no longer be an issue for most fruit growers.
Easter vacations without a cold snap
A late cold snap is rather unlikely in the first few days of the Easter vacation. Nevertheless, we should not expect consistently dry and flawless spring weather, as changeable weather is still to be expected on a daily basis.
