Tuesday: Clouds, fog, and light rain in the west
The weather will become more unsettled on Tuesday. The day will start with clouds, fog, and high fog in many parts of Austria, but it will initially remain dry. By mid-morning, however, light rain will start to fall in the Lake Constance region (Vorarlberg) and slowly spread eastwards over the course of the day. By the evening, the rain will reach parts of Upper Austria and western Upper Styria. However, it will remain mostly sunny in the east and south, especially along the eastern edge of the Alps and in the southern mountain regions, where the sun will sometimes shine. Temperatures on Tuesday will range between 12 and 21 degrees, with the west remaining somewhat cooler due to the rain.
Wednesday: Changeable weather with rain showers
Wednesday will bring mixed weather conditions. Clouds will move through repeatedly; in some places, they will remain foggy or very foggy for longer. Rain showers may occur, especially from Salzburg to Eisenstadt (Burgenland), which will later reach the Alps. The sun will only appear occasionally. The wind will remain weak, which could make it difficult for fog to lift in some regions. Highs will range from 11 to 18 degrees; around 6 degrees is expected at 2000 meters above sea level at midday.
Sunny Thursday, fog in the south
Thursday promises friendlier weather again. It will be very sunny in many regions, but in parts of the south, especially at lower altitudes, it may remain foggy throughout the day. Drizzle and low-hanging clouds are also possible in these areas. Temperatures will range from 10 to 20 degrees, accompanied by moderate winds from south to east.
Friday: Lots of sunshine, but fog in the lowlands
Sunny weather awaits us again on Friday, especially at higher altitudes. However, there will again be patches of fog and high fog in the lowlands, which will only clear slowly. In the west, some clouds could also appear in the afternoon. The wind will be brisk from the south to the southeast. Temperatures will range between 11 and 20 degrees, depending on the amount of sunshine and fog.
