Vienna’s renowned brass band, Musikverein Leopoldau, will host a much-anticipated concert on Sunday, 24 November 2024, at the Volkshochschule Floridsdorf, located at Angererstrasse 14. The performance, starting at 4:00 PM, is set to captivate fans and music enthusiasts.
Having cemented its place in Vienna’s Filipino community, the Musikverein Leopoldau has been a prominent musical presence at key events, including the grand European Cultural Parade in June 2024. The band earned admiration for its stunning rendition of the Philippine National Anthem, showcasing its cultural versatility and dedication to fostering connections through music.
Known for its diverse repertoire, the MV Leopoldau effortlessly blends traditional brass music, Viennese classics, and modern selections from films and musicals, offering audiences a dynamic musical experience.
The band also nurtures budding talent through its youth ensemble, the Orange Corporation, which provides young musicians with a platform to hone their skills and perform live.
For those inspired to join, rehearsals are held every Thursday from 7:30 PM to 9:45 PM at Siemensstrasse 170, 1210 Vienna (by appointment).
