Today’s trip to the Asian side of Istanbul was an adventure filled with both historical landmarks and breathtaking views, despite the cold and snowy weather. As we left our hotel to begin our day tour, a light snowfall gently drifted from the sky, adding a magical touch to our journey. Though the temperatures were chilly, our spirits were high as our guide led us on an exciting exploration of the city.
We passed by Beylerbeyi Palace, a stunning example of Ottoman architecture. From there, we continued toward the majestic Camlica Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Turkey. The architecture was grand, and the peaceful atmosphere was the perfect contrast to the snowy weather. Afterward, we enjoyed a short walk near the Camlica Tower, which offered us a panoramic, picturesque view of Istanbul.
Next, we ventured into the bustling districts of Antalyan and Besiktas, where we got a glimpse of the city’s vibrant life and culture. Our walk through Kadikoy’s narrow streets was especially charming. We passed by cozy restaurants, colorful stalls, and local shops, making it a great place to experience Istanbul’s everyday life. The energy of the neighborhood was infectious, despite the cold and rain.
After immersing ourselves in the Asian side, we crossed back over the Bosphorus by ferry, which offered yet another spectacular view of Istanbul’s skyline. Before returning to our hotel, we made a final stop in the historic district of Balat. The neighborhood’s colorful houses and narrow alleys gave us a sense of Istanbul’s old-world charm.
Although the cold and wet weather made the day a bit tiring, the rich experiences and the chance to learn about the city’s history made it all worthwhile. It was a day to remember, filled with beautiful moments and lasting memories.
