The “chilly mood” regarding the weather in Austria continues: there is no sign of a sustained improvement in the new week either. Monday will be the friendliest and warmest before the next low pressure announces itself. The temperatures then plummet again on Friday.

On Monday, a few more cloud fields will move across the sky from the north-east from Upper Austria to Burgenland during the day, and local, brief rain showers cannot be ruled out, as Geosphere Austria forecast on Sunday. Further west and south, on the other hand, the sun will shine throughout the day, and afternoon clouds will remain harmless. The wind will blow moderately to briskly from the northwest in the north and east, otherwise it will be relatively light. Early temperatures will reach four to ten degrees, daytime highs 14 to 25 degrees, with the highest values in the west and south.

As a low-pressure system approaches from the southwest, cloud cover will increase from Vorarlberg to western Styria during the day, and the tendency to rain showers, some of them thundery, will increase. Further north and east, however, sunny weather will prevail throughout. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from north to east. Early temperatures will rise between three and twelve degrees, with daytime highs of 18 to 23 degrees.
In the middle of the week, Austria will be changeable and unsettled, with some intense rain showers in places. The sun will appear from time to time. The longest dry spells are expected in the northeast. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from different directions. Early temperatures will reach six to twelve degrees, and daytime highs will be 18 to 24 degrees.

Dense cloud fields will move in from the west on Thursday, while clouds will form, especially in the mountains. This will increase the tendency for showers from midday onwards. Towards the evening, persistent rain will set in. The sun will only appear in the country’s eastern half, mostly in the morning. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from different directions. Early morning temperatures will reach eight to twelve degrees, and daytime highs will be 15 to 23 degrees.

Friday will be mainly cloudy, but dry most of the time, with occasional sunny spells. Rain showers will continue to fall, especially between the Tyrolean lowlands and south-eastern Styria. The wind will mostly blow moderately to briskly from west to north. Early temperatures will reach six to ten degrees, with daytime highs of only twelve to 16 degrees.
