As the meteorologists at Geosphere Austria forecast on Sunday, temperatures are set to soar, especially in the west. Temperatures of up to 33 degrees are expected.

Mostly sunny on Monday
The weather on Whit Monday will be mainly sunny. From Innsbruck to Graz, there will be scattered dense clouds at the beginning, and in the southeast, it will still rain in places. As the day progresses, more cumulus clouds will form, which may temporarily shade the sunshine. Nevertheless, it will remain mainly dry until the evening. The wind will blow weakly to moderately, even briskly, on the eastern edge of the Alps, from west to north. Early temperatures will be between five and 14 degrees, with daytime highs reaching 18 to 25 degrees.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny in many parts of Austria. Especially in the morning, it will be partly cloudy throughout the country. As the day progresses, however, spring clouds will form, especially in the mountains, and the tendency to shower will increase slightly. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible in the west and southwest. In the northern and eastern lowlands, clouds will also gather at times but will clear in many places by the evening. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from the south to west. Early temperatures will be between six and twelve degrees, with daytime highs reaching 22 to 27 degrees.

Improving weather in large parts from Wednesday
After local residual clouds or patches of early morning fog have cleared, the sun will shine all day in large parts of the country on Wednesday. Only in northern Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Vienna, and Upper Styria will there be a few patches of cloud, with isolated light showers possible, especially in the Vienna Woods. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from west to north. Early temperatures will reach nine to 17 degrees, daily highs 21 to 29 or 30 degrees, with the highest temperatures in the west and south.

On Thursday, the sun will shine widely, with only the south-east seeing a little more cloud at first. In the afternoon, some spring clouds will form over the mountains. Isolated showers are possible in the afternoon, especially in the Hohe Tauern region. The wind will be mostly light, but in the northern foothills of the Alps, in the Mühlviertel and Waldviertel, moderate or slightly stronger winds will blow from the east during the day. Early morning temperatures will be between eight and 16 degrees, daytime highs between 22 and 27 degrees, 28 to 31 degrees in the south and west, with the warmest temperatures in the west.

33 degrees on Friday
On Friday, the sun will be shining brightly from early in the morning, and the sky will initially be largely cloudless for long stretches. Only in the afternoon will a few spring clouds form over the mountains in the west and along the main Alpine ridge, followed by isolated warm thunderstorms. The wind will blow weakly to moderately during the day, picking up somewhat in the east from the southeast to the east. Early temperatures will reach eleven to 16 degrees, daytime highs 25 to 31 degrees, locally up to 33 degrees in the west.
