In Italy today, the number of coronavirus death victims has continued to rise. 636 deaths were recorded in 24 hours, the highest level since April 6. The day before there were 623. Persons over 65 are allowed to shop first
The three northern Italian regions of Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Emilia-Romagna have now introduced more stringent anti-covid measures, which will remain in force until 3 December. Citizens are no longer allowed to walk in the streets and squares of the city centers. Access to the beaches is also to be prohibited. In supermarkets, people over 65 years of age will be allowed to enter during the first two opening hours. Only one person per family will be allowed to shop in supermarkets.

The government of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte wants to decide tomorrow whether southern Italy’s Campania will be declared a red zone. In Naples, more police officers are to be deployed to avoid a rush like last weekend, when sun-hungry people strolled in crowds along the seashore and in the city center.
