Due to the rising number of infections among people returning from Croatia or an increase in the country itself, Austria is again issuing travel warning to Croatia. The travel warning comes into force at midnight from Sunday to Monday, as the Foreign Ministry informed the APA on Friday.
Vacationers who are currently in Croatia are urgently called upon to return home. Further details are currently being coordinated with the Ministry of Health, according to the Foreign Office.
Worldwide, at least the travel advice of level 4 (“high security risk”) continues to apply, which means that in general, travel that is not absolutely necessary is not recommended. The Austrian Foreign Ministry currently issues travel warnings (excluding Croatia) for 31 countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, Portugal and Sweden as well as the Chinese province of Hubei and, since one week ago, for mainland Spain.
