Vienna; 22. August 2020 – In Austria, exactly 300 new infections with the coronavirus have been registered within 24 hours (as of 9.30 a.m.), 141 of them in Vienna, according to figures published by the Ministry of the Interior on Saturday. The number of deaths of infected persons rose by two persons to 732.
So far there have been 25,062 positive test results in Austria, 21,406 persons with a SARS-CoV-2 infection have recovered. Thus there are 2,924 active cases in Austria. Currently 116 Covid-19 patients are undergoing hospital treatment, four more than on Friday morning, while the number of intensive care patients remained unchanged at 22.

As of Saturday, 22 August 2020, 8.00 am, 6,914 positive tests have been confirmed in Vienna. The number of deaths related to the virus is 210, and two men aged 92 and 85 have died.
5,285 persons have recovered.
