Saturday, 12 September 2020 – Corona figures continue to rise at a high level. Since Friday 869 new cases have been registered in Austria.
In the past 24 hours there have been 869 new infections with the corona virus throughout Austria. In all nine provinces there has been a further increase in positive test results.
This was particularly drastic in Lower Austria, where the value reached the three-digit range, and in Vienna! The federal capital reported the largest increase among the federal states. The numbers in detail:

➤ Upper Austria: 78
➤ Salzburg: 25
➤ Styria: 57
➤ Tyrol: 57
➤ Vorarlberg: 28
➤ Vienna: 444
As of today (September 12, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 32,696 people throughout the country have contracted Covid-19, according to the Ministry of the Interior. 754 people have died as a result of the infection and 26,579 have recovered.
At present, 209 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 42 of the sick are in intensive care units.
The dashboard of the Ministry of Health is a dynamic system and obtains its data from the Epidemiological Register (EMS). The EMS is the official register in which the district authorities and laboratories are entered. According to the Ministry of the Interior, delays in registration can occur, especially in the morning.
In the Ministry of the Interior, on the other hand, the figures are collected via videoconferencing as part of the coordination of the State Crisis and Disaster Management in the Emergency and Coordination Center (EKC). These figures may include cases that are not yet recorded in the EMS.
