14 people have died in the last 24 hours
After the record increase with more than 3,000 new infections on Saturday, corona numbers remain high. A further 2,782 new cases were reported on Sunday. However, fewer tests are usually performed over the weekend.
As of today (October 25, 2020, 09:30 a.m.), 979 people throughout Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 57,858 have recovered. At present, 1,225 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 174 of these are in intensive care.
The new infections since the last notification are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:

Lower Austria: 416
Upper Austria: 612
Salzburg: 269
Styria: 325
Tyrol: 313
Vorarlberg: 68
Vienna: 686
686 new cases in Vienna
The number of coronavirus infections in Vienna has increased by 686 cases in the past 24 hours. This means that a total of 27,180 positive test results were known to date on Sunday, according to the city’s medical crisis management team. Currently, 6,872 people are infected in the federal capital.
From Saturday to Sunday, the number of deaths related to the virus increased by four to 313. A 78-year-old woman and three men – 82, 79 and 75 years old – have died. 19,995 people have recovered. On Saturday 5,256 Covid-19 tests were performed in Vienna
