On Saturday at 16.30 the government will announce the new hard lockdown.
After the agreement on Friday evening, the new Corona Ordinance will be worked out in the Ministry of Social Affairs. As has now been officially announced, the government will announce the new hard lockdown today, Saturday at 16.30 hrs. Afterwards at 6 p.m. Minister of Labour and Family Affairs Christine Aschbacher, Minister of Finance Gernot Blümel and Minister of Education Heinz Faßmann (all ÖVP) will appear before the press and present further details.
Sunday
On Sunday – or even Monday – the main committee of the parliament is to discuss and decide on Lockdown. Since it will lead to a teaching freeze, the opposition will probably vote against it.
Tuesday
According to reports, the lockdown is to take effect on Tuesday and last up to three weeks – that would mean an end on December 8.
