The number of new coronavirus infections in Italy fell on Monday. The number of new infections decreased from 33,979 to 27,354 in 24 hours. There were 504 deaths, 42 less than the day before. The number of Covid 19 patients treated in hospitals increased from 32,047 to 32,536 compared to the previous day, the Ministry of Health reported. The northern Italian region of Veneto wants to rely on anti-Covid self-tests, which have already been tested on 5,000 people since Monday. The President of the Region Luca Zaia tested himself and showed live via Facebook how the kit works. Zaia had to wait one and a half minutes before he could present his negative test result via video conference.
